Mary O’Rourke, originally from Ireland and educated through the British Horse Society, is an equestrain instructor and trainer with experience and expertise in Dressage and Eventing.   She’s been in the US for quite a while:  my recollection is she started here on the west coast and had an opportunity to work at one time for Hilda Gurney. She’s been delighting Maine equestrians for over 20 years. She’s a favorite for gymnastic jumping and schooling cross-country and also excels in the dressage arena. People who ride with Mary agree that she brings enthusiasm and a special Irish charm that put horse and rider at ease and at their best!  As a dressage rider, I’ve always loved her balanced calm dressage-based approach to jumping and the wonderful athletic enhancement of the gymnastics work. If you can’t make these dates, stay tuned.  We hope to have Mary back again late July, and later this year, too, if we can fit it .
Downeast Dressage is excited at the opportunity to bring Mary here to downeast Maine.  We hope you will support this effort to bring her expertise to our area, and strongly encourage participants to take advantage of the 2-day program, as it is ideal for immediate reinforcement of newly learned skills and techniques.
